What is a CLEP Exam?
The College-Level Examination Program® or CLEP provides students of any age with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. There are 2,900 colleges that grant credit and/or advanced standing for CLEP exams.  By clicking
HERE you may access a list of CLEP exams offered at UAA.

Registration Information
Each CLEP exam is $70 with a $20 registration fee, for a total of $90. Military personnel should check on eligibility for fee waivers.  The $20 registration fee is paid at the cashier's window.  Please stop by the Advising and Testing center first to pick up a registration card to bring to the cashier.  The $70 exam fee is paid on the day of the test. This fee can be paid by credit card, money order, or check made payable to CLEP. Cash payment for the exam fee cannot be accepted. You can start the CLEP exam during any of our
Open Testing Lab Hours. For exams without an essay, you will be given unofficial results immediately following your completion of the exam. You must have a degree seeking status for your results to be put on your transcript at UAA.

Study Information
Study materials are available in several locations. You can download a specific subject for $10
HERE or you can check out the CLEP Official Study Guide for 2 weeks from the Advising & Testing Center by leaving a $25 deposit (cash only), which will be returned to you upon return of the book.
