Research Responsibilities Forum

This presentation will explore topics in both pre- and post-award  Sponsored Project Administration at UAA.  The session will address how the Office of Research & Graduate Studies (ORGS) assists faculty in preparing a proposal, including:

  • constructing the  budget;
  • reviewing the proposal narrative for IRB or IACUC issues; and
  • acting as liaison between the PI and the awarding agency to ensure the best chances of receiving funding.

    Post- award services provided by ORGS/Grants and Contracts will be explained.  A brief overview of the information and documents PIs need to administer a grant or contract and the basic duties of a PI will  also be provided.

UAA's Research Vision Forum

Please join us as for an update on the status of UAA's efforts to build research infrastructure; competitively fund research grants; increase scholarly presentations and peer reviewed publications; and develop the graduate school. 

 

During this session, we will revisit the four key areas outlined in the research section of UAA's Strategic Plan 2017 and address related issues, including:

  • building statewide research with support from NSF and NIH;
  • the support of organized research through research institutes and centers;
  • the role of interdisciplinary and individual research; and
  • training the next generation of researchers.
