Each year, Facilities Maintenance and Operations conducts maintenance "blitzes" on each building of the UAA main campus and its extended sites to ensure university facilities are kept in good repair.
The FMO directors, supervisors, Environmental Health and Safety representative, along with the building manager, perform a "Building Blitz" to address concerns and identify the need for repairs and service. Corrective maintenance work requests are generated upon completion of the Building Blitz.
These blitzes are generally scheduled on Fridays at 10:00am during the semester, or upon the building manager’s request.
