The Alaska WWAMI School of Medical Education would like to invite all intersted students, parents, school counselors, and advisors to the 2013 PreMed Summit.
The 8th Annual Alaska PreMed Summit will be held on Saturday, March 23 from 9:00am to 4:00pm in the Rasmuson Hall (RH) followed by hands on activities and tours in the Health Sciences Building (HSB). Both buildings are located on the UAA campus.
The purpose of the Alaska PreMed Summit is to provide information to anyone wanting to learn more about the process of becoming a physician. It is especially helpful for undergraduate and high school students, but non-traditional students, high school counselors, college advisors, and parents also benefit from the information that will be presented.
Participants of the Alaska PreMed Summit will have the opportunity to:
- Listen to keynote speaker, Jack Hickel.
- Participate in a mock medical school interview.
- Enjoy a provided lunch.
- Learn about preparing for the MCAT with Kaplan representative, Petros Minasi.
- Win a door prize.
- Tour the Alaska WWAMI Program facilities.
- Participate in hands on activities.
