The 10th Annual Alaska PreMed Summit was held on Saturday, April 4, 2015.  The summit started in Rasmuson Hall (RH) with a continental breakfast and check-in at 9:00am. The day will ended with hands on activities and tours of the Health Sciences Building (HSB) at 4:00pm. Both buildings are located on the UAA campus.

The purpose of the Alaska PreMed Summit is to provide information to anyone wanting to learn more about the process of becoming a physician. It is especially helpful for undergraduate and high school students, but non-traditional students, high school counselors, college advisors, and parents also benefit from the information that was presented.  See the 2015 agenda.

Participants of the 10th Annual Alaska PreMed Summit had the opportunity to:

  • Listen to keynote speakers.
  • Listen to break out sessions geared to high school students, undergraduates, and non-traditional students.
  • Participate in a mock medical school interview.
  • Enjoy a provided lunch.
  • Win a door prize.
  • Tour the Alaska WWAMI Program facilities.
  • Participate in hands on activities.
